The concrete block walls are very porous and are easily contaminated with bacteria growth.
The walls must be steam cleaned daily to remove the contamination.
The coating used must be non-toxic and be an exact color match.
The coating must have a Class 1 Fire Rating.
Solution:
One coat of an epoxy filler
was applied to fill the large pores in the walls. CeRam-Kote 54®
ATM was applied to the walls in two passes for a DFT of 6-8 mils. All
pores were then sealed. The customer reports that the walls are easy to
clean and no bacteria contamination has been detected since the
application. CeRam-Kote provided the customer with the exact almond color
match as requested. CeRam-Kote 54®
is Class 1 Fire Rating approved.
