The steel support pilings are subject to the corrosion and the force of wave action.
Previous products were applied in the splash zone and failed within days.
Due to the location of the pier, it is subject to fast moving water from the Indian Ocean.
Solution:
The steel pilings were blasted to CeRam-Kote 54®'s
surface preparation specifications during low tides. CeRam-Kote 54®
was applied to the steel pilings. The owner reports that CeRam-Kote 54®
is still performing extremely well.
