The contractor could not apply existing coating systems efficiently to barges during the rainy season.
The normal operations exposed barges to severe abrasion of sand bars.
Solution:
Using CeRam-Kote 54®'s
one-coat, two pass system, the contractor is able to coat the substrate
in one day. The barges were coated above and below the water line. With
CeRam-Kote54®'s
high abrasion resistance, the barges are protected against the abrasion
of sand bars.
