Problem:

The cable deployment/retrieval system produces severe abrasion.

The ship is exposed to severe corrosion from sea water.

Other coatings did not provide sufficient protection in this hostile environment.

 

Solution:

The operator coated the seismic ship's deck (800 square meters) with
CeRam-Kote 54® on a anti-skid surface. CeRam-Kote 54® successfully protected the deck from the corrosion caused by sea water and the abrasion caused by the deployment/retrieval system for more than two years since its application.
