Problem:

Norsk Hydro was needing electric motors, turbines and pumps that could withstand severe corrosion and abrasion in North Sea environments.

Solution:

Norsk Hydro is using CeRam-Kote 54® extensively on several offshore platforms and a floating storage unit for corrosion protection and are extremely pleased with its performance. They requested Siemens apply CeRam-Kote 54® to equipment that serviced any Norsk Hydro projects.

CeRam-Kote 54® has been specified in three of Siemens' four divisions. CeRam-Kote 54® has been applied to more than 600 Siemens' electrical and diesel engines, turbines, and pump housings for use by Norsk Hydro in their North Sea projects to date.
