Problem:

The customer will produce from two separate zones. One will be produced through the 2 7/8” 6.50 lb. L-80 EUE 8rd. tubing. The other zone will be produced through the casing. The tight tolerances will make it very difficult to protect the O.D. of the 2 7/8” tubing with chemicals.
 

Solution:

CeRam-Kote 54® was selected for the O.D. application of the tubing on this deep, high pressure, producing gas well due to its high abrasion resistance, high surface lubricity, high adhesion, and flexibility.

The new tubing was O.D. coated with CeRam-Kote 54® to specification at CeRam-Kote’s pipe coating facility in Big Spring, Texas. CeRam-Kote Technical Service employees were on site during the eight-day installation of the tubing to field repair any damage incurred during installation and make up, and to ensure CeRam-Kote 54® was holiday-free.
